Getting accurate crowd count figures requires a correct process for capturing the video for analysis, here is a step-by-step guide;
- Get drone flight clearance (if you haven't already)
- Focus only on one zone at a time, if you have multiple locations stop the video feed at the end of each zone

- Identify all objects in the flight path and their height, making sure that you are able to fly above the object (such as trees)
- Run a test run to identify how wide the perspective will capture accurately, launch the drone to 30m (70ft), and tilt the gimbal to 40-45 degrees. If you find the objects in the distance are hard to identify we suggest you look at flying 2 flights capturing 1 side of the zone and then the other side
- Split the flight zone into 2 areas, if you have a wide location or zone the AI will only analyse accurately the zone in focus (peripheral objects will have less accuracy)
- Start the video recording to an SD card (DJI Go 4 app as a backup) and in parallel start live stream to your Unleash live account
- At 30m (70 feet) and a 45-degree camera angle fly sideways at 10ft/s all the way along the length of the zone
- Stop the video recording for both the live stream and the DJI Go 4 app once you have reached the end of the zone
- Start a new video recording, live stream and fly back at 30m (70 feet) and 45-degree camera at 10ft/s
- Stop video recording for both live stream and DJI Go 4 app
- Note down the time/date of the flights for us to cross-reference the video and count
- login into your account and click on the Library page
- local the video of the video you intend to analyse
- Select the video clip by clicking the bottom right circle
- Select the recognised icon from the processing menu
- Select the A.I. algorithm from the drop-down menu
- Select Confirm
- Your results will appear in the Media Drive shortly
